
Work to improve Golf del Sur

In around a month, the council of San Miguel has taken away rubbish, old broken branches and all sorts of household goods, which undoubtedly is improving considerably the tourist image and environment. Since December, San Miguel de Abona, through the Department of Employment and Local Development and in collaboration with Canario Employment Service, is undertaking a project to improve the green areas of the Golf urbanization areas. The work being carried out, started with cleaning the road side of the tourist area of Golf del Sur and they are currently in the process of cleaning up the natural areas that surround san miguel, and the area which separates Golf del Sur and Amarilla Golf, near the Marina Puerto San Miguel. So far, they have removed approximately 35 trays of rubble, rubbish, dry branches and all sorts of household goods. Valentin Gonzalez, said that \"the implementation of this project will not only improve the image and environmental health of our natural areas, which undoubtedly is vital to promote the tourist attraction of the municipality, but also allowed us to generate new jobs and thus continue to develop an active policy for promoting employment.\"
