Tenerife present spring fashion collection in Madrid

Tenerife Fashion, which is promoted by the Tenerife Cabildo, presented their spring collections in Madrid. Some 350 media specialist including Journalists, photographers and stylists both domestic and foreign, which included the likes of Cosmopolitan, Vogue, Marie Claire, Hello and Elle magazine, where first to see the collections from pret-a-porter, Pi 3 14, Fascini di Pietra, Roselinde, Silver Point, Baronetti, Lasanfil, Ocean Canary, Marina Hernandez and Oh Soleil. The councillor for Island Economic Development, Trade and Employment, Efrain Medina, who attended the presentation, stressed the relevance of this event and said that, "the textile industry in Tenerife is in a situation of sustainable growth." One benefit of the presentation is showing the collections to potential purchasers, and Efrain Medina stated “one of the main objectives of Tenerife Fashion is, "to reach various markets, because we have a highly competitive product.". Tenerife Fashion is an initiative promoted by the town council which this year is celebrating its tenth anniversary. Its aim is to promote textile enterprises located on the island and enhance their productivities in industry, along with higher employment and export opportunities. Tenerife Fashion is a collective of 19 companies with 21 brands.
