The Prince of Asturias last week visited the Canaries for two days. As part of the trip the prince presided over the re-opening of the Teatro Leal, in La Laguna, which was greeted by several thousand well-wishers. The crowd awaited their arrival with flages and banners in the hope of catching a glimpse of the royal couple. The visit lasted two hours and for the full visit the security was intense, The Mayor of La Laguna also thanked the couple for the visit and said it honoured the town.
