Blue flag awarded to seven beaches in Tenerife

A total of seven beaches on Tenerife have been distinguished this year with the blue flag granted by the Environmental Education and Consumer Association (ADEAC). The criteria which are followed when granting the international environmental award are, among others, accessibility, water quality, environmental information to users and respect for legislation. The beaches that have won this recognition are those of El Médano and Leocadio Machado, in Granadilla; Las Vistas, in Los Cristianos; La Arena, in Santiago del Teide; El Socorro, in Los Realejos; Playa Jardín, in Puerto de la Cruz; and La Arena, in Tacoronte.
