Arona receives grant for improvements of tourism areas.

Arona has received an amount of 1,400,000 euros through the award of several grants from the Tourist Board of the Government of the Canary Islands for the implementation of tourist areas to rehabilitate them. In this regard, the mayor, explained that one of these grants, amounting to around 900,000 euros will be used to pay for part of the works of the Promenade of Los Cristianos. The city leaders pointed out that the works run, include the expansion of the port, in addition, it is carrying out resurfacing of this section, planting vegetation and the placement of new furniture. It was also highlighted that these jobs are complementary to the Plan for Infrastructure and Tourism quality of the regional government, and has been designed in line with major projects planned for Los Cristianos, in order to unify the image of the coastal area, "intended to revive, promote and maintain this area as an attractive destination for visitors, in addition to improving the quality of life of residents."
